ETI has recently incorporated Biomaster, a unique silver based antimicrobial additive into part of its range of thermometers for the catering industry. Ultimately ETI is looking to extend the use of Biomaster additives across its product range. Biomaster available from Addmaster (UK) Ltd is an incredibly durable additive that reduces bacteria such as E.Coli, Listeria, Salmonella and MRSA on surface and adds a unique selling point to ETI’s thermometer range. Peter Webb, Managing Director of ETI comments: “The prevention of the spread of harmful micro-organisms through cross contamination has been a major concern in the past. However the inclusion of Biomaster in our thermometer and probe plastic parts is an important development, as it actively helps to provide an important second line of defence against bacteria”.
