The organisers of K 2010, Messe Dusseldorf, have said that they expect a large number of visitors to come to the show from the Middle East.

According to Eva Rugenstein, the director of the press department at Messe Düsseldorf, there were more than 7,200 visitors from the region to the last show in 2007 and even more are expected for 2010.

A breakdown of the total number of visitors from the Middle East in 2007 shows that the most popular sources of visitors were Iran and Turkey, with more than 2,000 visitors each. There were a further 1,500 from Saudi Arabia, 1,000 visitors from Egypt and about 700 from the United Arab Emirates.
