Germany-based Illig, a producer of high performance manufacturing lines and tools for the packaging industry, has completed the generational transfer of the RV 53c automatic vacuum forming machine, a separately forming and punching thermoformer working from roll stock, by updating the so-called mould making manual for the new machine version. The system of standard parts especially developed for RV 53 machines used for building moulds, punching tools and stacking devices is an essential element and factor of success for this type of machine.
According to Illig, users of this system can build required forming and punching tools of simple design themselves in a cost-effective way. The new generation of this thermoformer features an increase in performance compared to the previous type, especially with regard to cycle speeds (up to 45 cycles per minute). It also provides new options for the production of food packs. The machine is especially appropriate for producers who need to change batch sizes frequently.
