Germany-based UBS Investment Bank has recently announced the appointment of a new CEO for the Middle East and North Africa, to be based in Dubai from August 1st. Coming from his previous position of Executive Vice-Chairman with Credit Suisse in Hong Kong, and with thirty years of experience in investment banking, Anthony Iliya will be a strong asset to the UBS team in the Middle East.
Anthony will be reporting to UBS group chairman Alex Wilmot-Sitwell, who says of the new appointment: ‘The Middle East and North Africa region is a key, strategic growth market for UBS and I am very pleased Tony will be joining our excellent team in the region. His wealth of expertise and his background will position us well to further deliver the full strengths and capabilities of the firm and maximise our growth and profitability in this important region.’
