New materials and new technologies to promote development of building and construction industries

More than 900 exhibitors will showcase advanced raw materials for building, including high performance composites, recyclable wood plastic composites, and efficient manufacturing equipment.

The Committee of Plastic Doors and Windows of China Construction Metal Structure Association, Guangzhou Building Materials Industry Association, Guangdong Provincial Wall Materials Industry Association, Shanghai Building Materials Industry Association and other industry associations have confirmed their visit schedules, with representatives from enterprises such as Zhejiang ZhongCai, Potentech, Lesso, Kingbull, Oriental Yuhong, Foshan Rifeng, Goody Technology, Dayang, Chuanlu Plastic, Tianjin Senpu Pipe have also pre-registered for Chinaplas.

Nanjing KY Chemical Machinery will launch its novel technology of differential speed co-rotating non-twin screw extruders at Chinaplas. It uses two non-identical screws to process polymer at different speeds, which overturns the commonly believed idea that identical shape and equal speeds are necessary for co-rotating screw extruders.

Sichuan Goldstone Orient will make its debut in Chinaplas, with equipment for advanced production processes, excellent performance and better forming quality of pipes. It will show pipes with stiffness SN8-SN16 and diameter 300mm-3000mm, mainly used in underground drainage, city sewage pipes, many areas of agricultural irrigation water pipelines, water collecting systems and water seepage piping systems.

Nextool Technology will showcase its automatic packing machine for PVC window and doors packing, which adds to competitiveness of products with a heat shrink device.

Zhangjiagang City Yili Machinery will display its High Speed PE extrusion line, with high speed and low power consumption. The line has faster cooling, with a spiral mould structure and inner cooling system and outside water jacket cooling.

Visitors will also be able to see in person advanced materials and cutting-edge automation equipment, such as high density polyethylene for pipes, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), recycled plastics, a new type of thermal stabiliser that contains no lead, an automatic spraying production line, a large diameter double-wall corrugated pipe forming machine, automatic detection equipment, and a continuous production line.

Dear Editors,

My name is Alexander Krah, and I'm the CEO of Krah Pipes Germany.

You ran a story above (Chinaplas 2017 showing construction progress towards sustainability) about ‘Krah pipes’ produced by machinery from Ningbo Fangli Technology.

I’d like your readers to know that these are NOT Krah pipes.

Since 1968, we have produced and developed Krah technology, and have lines running in more than 28 countries. We have several patents, and are active worldwide. Krah pipes are only produced on original Krah production lines who are made in Germany.

We are the victim of Chinese copying, which is a huge problem for European companies. And, even though Ningbo Fangli has copied my family and brand name, the law is not able to protect us.

It is ethically unacceptable that our ideas – and the development efforts of many decades – are simply stolen.

So my appeal and request is to your ethical and moral understanding, to not support this Ningbo Fangli company, who has copied my surname and brand name, and please publish a correction that this pipes are not Krah Pipes.

Thank you for your comments. We published the piece earlier this year in good faith, using information supplied directly to us by Adsale Ltd, the organisers of Chinaplas. The original article stated that:

"Ningbo Fangli Technology’s Krah pipe extrusion line can produce large diameter Krah pipes, from OD300-OD4000 with different ring stiffness."

However, on receipt of your letter have since amended the article to reflect and highlight your concerns. Leanne Taylor, Group Editor.
