The success of AMB Iran in Tehran has prompted organisers to start planning the next event in 2017.

Some111 exhibitors took part in the joint event between Messe Stuttgart and the German Machine Tool Builders' Association (VDW) at the Boostan Goftegoo Exhibition Centre from May 30th to June 1st 2016.
Exhibitors were primarily interested in renewing existing contacts and forging new contacts with trading partners and representatives, who made up the total of 2,127 visitors.
"The success of the first AMB Iran proves that it was a good strategy to enter the developing market of Iran with the successful brand," concluded Ulrich Kromer, CEO of Messe Stuttgart. "The good international networking of the VDW, our experience in staging symposiums and the excellent cooperation with Messe Stuttgart were the main factors which contributed to the success of the first event," added Dr Wilfried Schäfer, Managing Director of the VDW.
Exhibitors reported they were satisfied with the caliber of visitor at the first AMB Iran. Indeed, 86 per cent of visitors classified themselves as belonging to industry and 95 per cent claimed to be directly involved in purchasing and investment decision-making. The most widely represented areas were automotive (33 per cent), components suppliers (13 per cent) and moulding (nine per cent). Lively discussions could be seen on the exhibition floor on every day of the event.
Out of 111 exhibitors, 68 came from Germany, 18 from Italy, nine from Switzerland and three from Austria. These exhibitors included world market leaders, key industry players and medium-sized enterprises.
The next AMB Iran will be held from May 23rd to 26th 2017 at the recently-opened new trade fair centre in Tehran, the Shahr-e-Aftab Complex.
