German plastics and rubber machinery is leading the charge when it comes to demand for European manufacturing technology in Iran.

According to recent data published by the German machinery manufacturers' association the VDMA, German exports to Iran during the January to May 2017 period amounted to €21 million, an enormous 476.5 per cent jump on the previous year.
In 2016, global exports of plastics and rubber machinery to Iran reached a total value of €234.8 million, which is a 14.8 per cent jump compared to the year before.

Germany ranks second on the overall table of global market imports with 8.6 per cent of the worldwide share. China was the number one supplier of plastics and rubber machinery with a 63.5 per cent chare, while Italy ranked third with 8.5 per cent of the market share and Turkey came fourth with 4.7 per cent of the market share.
